What do we offer?

At festivals or night events, we offer a safe space for individuals having adverse experiences, whether drug related or not.

• Information & Ressources

At our Sanctuary, we offer resources including drinking water, safe-use information pamphlets, earplugs, and various “nightlife safety essentials” (eg. condoms, vitamins, and straws). The sanctuary will be decorated and interactive, offering objects to engage attendees. The sanctuary will offer a place for volunteers to informally council and talk to attendees in distress.

• Psychedelic First-Aid

The Sanctuary will be staffed by one PsyCare supervisor and at least two additional individuals, one of each sex (collectively the “PsyCare team”) at all times, who are trained to provide psychedelic first aid, to support for people undergoing challenging psychological experiences, particularly those involving psychoactive substances; and to provide education to reduce the harm associated with the use of such substances.

Attendees are received in a competent and calm way and can thus find relief of their psychological challenges in a comfortable, safe space, usually situated in an environment with less noise. With water, tea, snacks and blankets, the basic physiological needs can be met as well. If possible, the PsyCare Team will also roam around the festival area occasionally, offering water, fresh fruits or vitamins and keeping an eye on people who could need assistance on the festival ground.
